First of all with Absolution they did not shut down the single player portion of the game, they shut down the contracts mode which is a player-to-player challenge system that requires a server, only the online service that feeds player. Whats interesting about Contracts mode isnt that you can create targets for friends to take down online - its how you do it. IO Interactive is taking inspiration from fans for its new Contracts mode. So I have started playing Hitman Absolution today after pre ordering on steam and I am getting fairly low fps (20 - 30) whilst playing on medium settings even though my PC can run most games at max or close to max settings easily.
